Gather all of your ingredients in an organized fashion on a clean, flat surface.

Pour 1 cup of flour into a large glass bowl.

Pour 1/4 cup of salt into the same large glass bowl.

Mix the flour and salt together until they are well distributed.

Put 1/2 cup of warm water into a measuring cup or a separate glass bowl.

Add 1/4 teaspoons (or 3-4 drops) of any food coloring of your choice to the 1/2 cup of warm water.

Slowly and evenly pour the water and food coloring into the flour/salt mixture.

As you pour, stir the mixture until all elements are completely combined.

Once the mixture is uniform, kneed the dough until all of the flour and salt are absorbed.

If the dough is too sticky, add a few pinches of flour to the mixture until a non-sticky consistency is reached.

Repeat these 10 steps with a different food coloring of your choice and play with your play dough!
